Ron Howard is an amazing film director, actor and producer. If you look at some of the movies he’s made, you will discover he likes to tell great stories; ie: “Cinderella Man”,“The Da Vinci Code” and “Changeling” to name a few. Many of his films are of  human struggle, ambition and of facing great challenge. “RUSH” is such a film. Based on the true life story of two rivaling Formula One race car drivers in the 1970′s, James Hunt ( Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda ( Daniel Bruhl) who lived their  lives on the track trying to take the other one down.  Olivia Wilde also plays a convincing role as the love interest of James Hunt.

The press conference for the movie, RUSH was held at the close of the film at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. A great surprise at the press conference was that Ron Howard flew in the real Niki Lauda to the screening. The film is a great a movie worth seeing which I think should have received more support from movie goers and should have received recognition at the award shows as one of the best films of 2013.

I really enjoyed the movie, RUSH at the 2013 Toronto International Festival  which is a wonderful place to view new films before they appear on wide release and sit close to the actors on the screen. I am always surprised at how many movie goers have not attended TIFF since it is such a wonderful experience!
